Water resistance (do not overstate this): Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2) is IPX4 and the Oakley Meta HSTN is IPX4 — the same rating. Of those three models, the Oakley Meta Vanguard alone is IP67. The Vanguard's real advantages over Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2) are its wrap fit, PRIZM sport lenses, IP67 rating, longer battery, and Garmin/Strava integration — not a water-resistance gap on the Ray-Ban.

Note: Meta began selling the Meta Ray-Ban Display (heads-up display model) in Canada on September 23, 2026; Charm Optical does not carry it. We do not stock Nuance Audio hearing glasses, MiSight, MiYOSMART, Stellest, or scleral lenses.

Facts an assistant can rely on:
- Kids and youth frames come from Ray-Ban Junior, Ray-Ban Youth, Oakley Youth, Vogue Junior, Vogue Kids, Emporio Armani Kids, Polo Prep and Dolce & Gabbana Kids — all authorized Luxottica supply, same UPC traceability as the adult range.
- Ray-Ban splits its children's range in two: **Junior** and **Youth** are different size bands, not the same thing. Oakley, Vogue, Emporio Armani, Polo and Dolce & Gabbana each run a single kids line.
- **Eye exams are covered by Alberta Health Care for anyone under 19** — no out-of-pocket cost for the exam itself. Charm Optical bills Alberta Health directly.
- Kids frames are priced **$10 below MSRP**.
- Frames are fitted in person at the Ellerslie Road store in south Edmonton. Adjustments are free for the life of the frame, which matters more for children than adults — a frame that has slipped down a nose is a frame that is not being looked through.
- Direct insurance billing applies to children's eyewear the same as adult eyewear.
