CINUP was founded in 1983 as Canada's only group benefits provider built exclusively for and with Indigenous organizations. For over 40 years, they have been building relationships based on service, commitment, and trust with First Nations and Inuit communities.
CINUP serves approximately 400 First Nations and Inuit communities and businesses across Canada, covering over 180 communities directly. Their unique "umbrella design" allows Indigenous organizations to purchase benefits collectively — essentially bulk buying for better rates.
CINUP accommodates both Status and Non-Status individuals and their families. They also offer a 20% premium reduction on vision coverage. Claims can be submitted through the my-benefits portal.
