A Friendly Heads-Up About Coverage Amounts

The coverage details on this page are based on publicly available information from the provider's own website. Your actual coverage may be different depending on your specific plan, your employer's selections, and when your benefit period resets.

We always recommend checking with your provider directly to confirm your exact coverage — and the easiest way is usually through their app or online portal, where you can see your remaining benefits instantly.

One more thing: we are not able to verify your insurance over the phone or by email. To check your coverage, you will need to visit us in store — we can look everything up for you right at the counter. It only takes a minute, and there is never any obligation.

About Canada Life

The Canada Life Assurance Company has roots going back to 1847 — making it Canada's oldest life insurance company, founded in Hamilton, Ontario. In 2020, three historic companies merged under one name: Great-West Life (founded 1891 in Winnipeg), London Life (founded 1874), and the original Canada Life. Together, they form one of the country's largest insurance and financial services providers.

Canada Life is a subsidiary of Great-West Lifeco, which manages over $3.3 trillion in total client assets globally. In Canada alone, the company serves over one million customers through workplace benefits, life insurance, and personal financial plans. Their Freedom 55 Financial division operates as part of Canada Life.

When Great-West Life, London Life, and Canada Life merged on January 1, 2020, all existing policies transferred automatically — same advisors, same coverage, same service teams. If you still have a card that says Great-West Life or London Life, it still works the same way.
